Stenciled present

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Can’t get enough of stenciling with Freezer paper. Therefore I made a stenciled birthday present for a friend. She really likes my skull illustration so I made a skull shirt for her. Actually I like the outcome so much that I probably will make one for myself too.

A while ago I made some stenciled baby clothes for the craft market but haven’t sold them so I will add them to the shop soon. First I have to make some good pictures. I will keep you posted about these items.

Blue & choco swap

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

On Flickr I see pretty pictures of great swaps all the time but so far I only did one swap. Until Liliana sent me an email asking me if I was interested in swapping with her. She always has such lovely swaps according to her Flickr photo’s so I said yes of course. For the theme I chose blue and chocolate brown because she likes both a lot. I had so much fun preparing this swap and I spent 3 hours shopping to find the things you see below.

De content of the package I’ve sent to her: blue, blue with glitter and chocolate brown felt ~ felt flowers ~ chocolate cookies ~ a clay facial mask in a polka dot packaging ~ a blue chocolate mold for making her own chocolates ~ choco tea (I tried it and it really taste like chocolate) ~ a cute card with a personal message to her ~ choco lip balm (yum!) ~ cute blue and brown ribbons ~ a polka dot pen ~ pencase with a handmade chocolate cake and a cute little handmade cake charm from polymer clay

brownies and green tea

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

Hip hip hooray! It was my boyfriend’s birthday yesterday. He made brownies and I had some leftovers with green tea this morning. Our kitchen cupboard is full of different kinds of tea but I only drink the green one. So yes you can say I’m addicted to green tea. I think the perfect combination with tea is chocolate. Mmm!

Last week was a girls week. Thursday I went shopping with some girls I’ve just met a while ago at a course. Now we finally had the time to know each other. After shopping we had some drinks and ate a great salad at a restaurant. Saturday I went out with one of the girls again to watch the Euro 2008 soccer game (the Netherlands against Russia) on big screen. We had a great evening even though the Netherlands lost the game.

Craft market

Monday, June 16th, 2008

Yesterday I went to Hip & Hangemaakt (trendy and handmade) market. In contrast to the market two weeks ago this one went very well. The responses from both customers as my ‘colleague’ crafty girls were overwhelming. After the other market I was a little bit unsure about my work/booth because nobody seemed to want to buy it, but this time I have sold a lot more. Yay!

As promised, a photo from the bibs I made. I’ve sold the cute one with the cupcake. If you interested in the other bibs you can contact me.

The Cherry painting was a absolute favorite at the market but unfortunately nobody bought it. All the paintings are on sale (€5 off!) now in my webshop!

Experimenting with stencils

Friday, June 13th, 2008

Only two days left until the craft market and I got loads of ideas for new products. I made some more bibs but haven’t taken any pictures of them yet so I can’t show you. I promise I’ll show them to you later. Another project I’ve been working on are baby clothes. I’m stenciling them using the freezer paper technique. This technique is very simple and it’s just perfect for my designs. The first one I made is a white onesie with a cute penguin on it and now I’m working on a little polar bear shirt.
